Dr. Bichell is an assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her research and teaching focus on prevention of obesity and common obesity-linked diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, throughout the lifecycle. Her work also focuses on training new primary care physicians to improve the quality of care they provide to patients with such illnesses, by improving systems of care, and using patient-centered approaches.
